In a year of uncertainty, Schwabbies can take comfort that our world-class commitment to our communities remains stronger than ever, with employees across the firm banding together to support each other and those in need during truly unprecedented times.
In Indianapolis, employees teamed up to support Coburn Place, an organization which helps women and families who are survivors of interpersonal abuse, with housing and fresh start. Schwabbies there donated kitchen and bath items to help those families begin again in their new homes.
Supporting organizations like Coburn Place provides all of us with a chance to truly serve, inspire and positively impact on the lives of others. We all have the ability to help, and taking a moment to assist someone may have a lasting impact and could change their life forever.

Schwabbies in the Las Vegas area, supported by Schwab’s Employees for the Environment (SEE) Employee Interest Group, worked together to donate 40 refurbished computers, complete with Microsoft programs, to children unable to access virtual schooling because they did not have access to a home computer during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In Lone Tree, the annual Junior Achievement Stock Market Challenge is going forward in a modified way. As the traditional event cannot happen in person, 20 teams of Schwabbies are competing in a virtual trivia challenge with a collective goal of raising $10,000 to support Junior Achievement.
And as Schwab regional centers across the country are being named “Top Workplaces” in their individual markets, location leaders from Denver to Orlando are taking funds that would have traditionally gone to on-campus employee celebrations and donating them to local organizations in need.
“What better way to celebrate being a Top Workplace in our community than by donating our employee celebration funds to the Food Bank of the Rockies?” remarked Lone Tree’s Kim H. “I know I join employees throughout Denver in thanking the Lone Tree Business Council for this opportunity to use our amazing workplace accomplishment as a way to give back during this incredibly difficult time.”
