Each year Schwab hosts a volunteer event with hundreds of opportunities for employees to donate their time and talents to a cause of their choice.
Setting records in 2022
This year’s Schwab Volunteer Week turned out to be the company’s biggest and best volunteer event to date. Together, volunteers made an extraordinary impact across the country, and a meaningful difference for the nonprofits and communities they served.
By the numbers:
-
Over 9,200 volunteer spots filled
-
850 service projects supported
-
360 nonprofit partners impacted
And to celebrate this tremendous work, Charles Schwab Foundation is contributing more than $500,000 in grants to their participating nonprofit partners.
A culture of giving back
Carrie Schwab-Pomerantz, President of Charles Schwab Foundation, knows it’s the amazing employees that make Schwab’s volunteer programs a success.
“I want to give a special shout-out to our employee volunteer leaders who worked so hard behind the scenes to bring the event to life,” said Carrie. “And everyone who participated—whether they volunteered, donated to a charity, or pitched in to support their colleagues—they made a huge difference.”
The company encourages employees to find ways to give back year-round, whether it’s through a program like Moneywise America, Habitat for Humanity, Junior Achievement, or an opportunity of their choosing.
