Brad Sorensen is reponsible for analyzing the effects of economic and market factors on specific market sectors. He writes corresponding research reports and articles for use by Schwab representatives and clients. Sorensen is also a member of Schwab’s Investment Strategy Council, which defines broad asset allocation guidelines for the firm’s investor base and provides sector, industry and stock recommendations to the chief investment officer.
Prior to joining Schwab in 2004, Sorensen was a financial analyst at AMG Guaranty Trust, where he researched and analyzed equities, options, fixed income instruments and venture capital opportunities. He developed unique hedging strategies for client portfolios and was responsible for income tax forecasts, investment strategies and financial planning for high net-worth clients. Previously, Sorensen served as compliance analyst and retirement plan specialist for Invesco Funds Group
Sorensen earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, Master of Business Administration degree and Master of Science degree in finance from the University of Colorado. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
