This week at the Alameda Point Collaborative in Alameda, CA, nearly 50 Schwab employees covered up their office hands with work gloves and did some serious gardening, weeding and digging to help maintain and improve the community’s garden.

The Alameda Point Collaborative is a unique neighborhood located on the former Alameda Naval Air Station on Alameda Point. Its goal is to end homelessness by providing formerly homeless families and individuals affordable housing, job training, health services and employment in a community that fosters support and interaction.

Here are a couple of fun before and after photos of a vegetable bed some of the Schwab employees created out of a plot of land covered by waist and shoulder high weeds!
